In this 2-day course you will learn some unique Lyne Methods, to help clients regain optimal spinal alignment and normal pelvic movement. Mary Anne Snavely will share how to functionally utilize simple pilates and yoga poses to observe movement patterns and see deviances from neutral, and then teach corrective movement. A major contributor to pelvic floor muscle dysfunction is loss of pelvic mobility, stability and the ability to tilt the pelvis anteriorly, posteriorly or laterally. Consistent neutrality of the spine and pelvis improves muscle tone of the pelvic floor and optimal ROM of the entire body, maximizing long term healthy movement and muscle function. The first day will focus on alignment screening in standing and assessing pelvic tilts, and the second will focus on gait and balance.
1. Learn to execute easy to implement a standing and pelvic alignment screening.
2. Identify and demonstrate individual corrective postural changes to help increase pelvic mobility.
3. Assess tightness in the back and abs that may be restricting pelvic mobility.
