I have always been passionate about empowering and supporting women and children. Over the years I have enjoyed doing this as special educator, disability advocate, education researcher, and children’s yoga instructor. More recently, my personal health journey led me to Pelvic Health Systems, where I am delighted to have the opportunity to support and empower women and children more fully as a PFT Pelvic Health Coach.
My personal health journey began in infancy, when I experienced a serious bowel condition. This was followed by a childhood of mysterious stomach aches. Then the diagnoses started to roll in. As a teen it was IBS, in my 20s it was the autoimmune disease, Ulcerative Colitis, and in my 30s it was the connective tissue disorder, Ehlers Danlos Syndrome. After 11 years of struggling with the impact of Ulcerative Colitis and its harsh treatments, I had my colon removed. Despite the promise of improvement, my disease worsened, and I began to experience more disabling bowel issues. At the same time, I began having problems with my bladder.
It wasn’t until I came to Pelvic Health Systems that I realized I was living with the complaints of Pelvic Floor Dysfunction and that my bowel and bladder issues were related and could be improved through The Lyne Methodology that Pelvic Health Systems provides. This was the first time in many years that I felt supported and hopeful. I was also excited to find that the education provided at Pelvic Health Systems could help my young daughter, who suffers from chronic constipation and pain.
I am excited to I am part of the Pelvic Health Systems team sharing the unique Lyne methods with more women and children to help build awareness, provide education, provide tailored solutions and achieve results!
